the midi sounds perfect with ezdrummer but I wanted to try AD for a change in tonal quality. Studio One allows us to do this in a very quick and concise manner where we can easily go from MIDI to Audio and from Audio back to MIDI in the event of needing to tweak our drums or performance.įinally, I’ll touch on how I like to set up and rout my drum tracks with a focus on mixing our production later down the line. I finished it,exported as midi threw it into Cubase le4 and added Addictive drums and it sounded horrible instead of a hi hat count in the beginning I got a side stick count, instead of a snare I either got a side stick or the cowbell and for a Crash cymbal I got the hi hat. Most importantly I’m going to show you how easy it is to set up AD2, how to “mult” out each individual drum piece to their own audio tracks and how to print them. Addictive Drums 2 (or any other similar virtual drum instruments like Superior and EZ Drummer, SSD4, BFD, etc.) is a wonderful sounding tool that we can all use for songwriting, demo’ing new material, or the final drum sounds on our latest album release. Hey guys, in this Studio One tutorial, we’re going to take a look at a combination of production and mixing techniques, specifically focusing on how to use Addictive Drums 2 inside of Studio One. Using Addictive Drums 2 in Presonus Studio One Track 15 is your MIDI track, which you can use to input the MIDI data for Addictive Drums 2.
